Mofjell power plant

Mofjell mini power plant is located on a hillside above Rana power plant near Mo i Rana in the municipality of Rana, Nordland County.

The power plant uses the height of fall from Rana Municipality's drinking water supply, which is drawn from the head race tunnel to Rana power plant. The elevation of the power plant is 220 metres above sea level and uses a height of fall off about 300 metres.

The generating unit is equipped with a Pelton turbine. The power plant's production is dependent on the consumption of drinking water in Mo i Rana.
